Important Update on Mental Health Services Transition

As a follow-up to information shared in October, this notice provides an important update regarding the transition of mental health services from The Arc of Monmouth to Easterseals New Jersey.

At this time, all individuals and/or their legal guardians should have received the required paperwork to transition services to Easterseals New Jersey or have established care with another provider of their choosing.

Individuals who wish to receive services with Easterseals New Jersey and have not yet submitted completed intake paperwork—or who are not yet established for care—must complete the intake process. To begin or complete this process, please contact Valerie Krzywiec at 732-380-0390.

Medication Refills – Important Timing Information

If you are currently receiving mental health services through The Arc of Monmouth and require a medication refill, please continue to contact The Arc of Monmouth through January 30, 2026.

Beginning February 2, 2026, medication-related questions and refill requests may be directed to Easterseals New Jersey only after you have completed the intake process and are officially established for care.

If you have not yet submitted your intake packet or scheduled an intake appointment and would like to receive services with Easterseals New Jersey, please contact Valerie Krzywiec at 732-380-0390 for assistance with next steps.

Provider Updates

  • Dr. Sahar Shafey departed The Arc of Monmouth effective January 8, 2026, but will continue handling medication refill requests for current Arc consumers through January 30, 2026.

  • Mary DeSane, APN, will continue seeing her current Arc patients through January 27, 2026, and will resume her practice with Easterseals New Jersey in early February 2026, contingent upon completed intake paperwork and established services.

  • Counseling services provided by Jessica Wicki, LCSW, at The Arc of Monmouth concluded on December 16, 2025.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Dr. Shafey, Mary DeSane, and Jessica Wicki for their dedicated service and compassionate care.
