We are so excited to get into our Fall 2024 Session here at The Achievement Zone!


This registration survey will begin April 25th, 2024, and will run through May 3rd, 2024.

The Fall Session will run from September 3rd, 2024 to December 27th, 2024

TAZ will be offering day habilitation services each day.Please read thoroughly through the options for each day and only choose one from each day that you would like to attend.Drop off and pick up for each day will be at the Arc of Monmouth (1158 Wayside Road, Tinton Falls, NJ.) 

 

Before and After Respite Services may be available upon request. Please contact Candice Layton, clayton@arcofmonmouth.org for information. 

*TAZ will not be in session on the following holidays:*

Monday, September 2nd - Labor Day

Monday, October 14th - Columbus/Indigenous Peoples' Day

Thursday, November 28th - Thanksgiving Day

Friday, November 29th - Day After Thanksgiving

Wednesday, December 25th - Christmas Day

Thursday, December 26th - Day After Christmas

 

 

 

 

TAZ Fall 2024 Program In-Person Offerings   

Monday:

OPTION #1: Inventory, Money Management, Community Activities – Kuhla Farm (This includes preparation for Wandering Wagon, Shopping for Cooking classes and Kuhla Farm) Drop off and pick up is at the Arc Center 1158 Wayside Road, Tinton Falls, NJ

OPTION #2: Fitness & Art Class (Class at ZR Fitness gym, lunch followed by art class in the afternoon.) Drop off and pick up is at the Arc of Monmouth (1158 Wayside Road, Tinton Falls, NJ)

Tuesday:

OPTION #1: Wandering Wagon (Prepare and serve bagels and coffee or lunch to customers at the Work Opportunity Center.) Drop off and pick up is at the Arc Center 1158 Wayside Road, Tinton Falls, NJ

OPTION #2: Therapeutic Movement & Yoga (Therapeutic Movement class with Mr. Chris in the morning followed by Yoga class with Ms. Kelly in the afternoon). Drop off and pick up is at the Arc of Monmouth (1158 Wayside Road, Tinton Falls)

Wednesday:

OPTION #1: Community Service, Money Management & Bowling (volunteering at either the Long Branch or Freehold Food Pantry, followed by bowling in the afternoon). Limited space available for this option. Drop off and Pick up is at the Arc Center 1158 Wayside Road, Tinton Falls, NJ

OPTION #2: Community Trips (Trips will vary each week - Space is Limited- Additional Money might be needed for certain trips) Drop off and pick up is at The Arc of Monmouth, 1158 Wayside Road, Tinton Falls.

Thursday:

OPTION #1: Wandering Wagon & Community Activity. (Prepare and sell items to staff and participants, then engage in shopping or lessons at a local library.) Drop off and pick up is at the Arc Center 1158 Wayside Road, Tinton Falls, NJ

OPTION #2: Drumming & Bowling (Travel to Count Basie for a drumming, music and/or drama class, then head to Shore Lanes for bowling in the afternoon) Drop off and pick up is at the Arc Center 1158 Wayside Road, Tinton Falls, NJ

Money may be needed for admission. We suggest: water, a change of clothes, towel and SUNSCREEN. Please keep in mind water activities are weather permitting. Going to the movies will be the second option for this day as we will email in advance if they need money. Lunch can be brought from home or purchased. Please keep in mind lunch with depend on what beach / park we attend that day.

Friday:

*Brookdale Begins September 13th, 2024 and runs until December 20th, 2024*

OPTION #1: Let's Do Lunch (Prepare and serve lunch for Arc staff and participants). Drop off and pick up is at the Arc Center 1158 Wayside Road, Tinton Falls, NJ

OPTION #2: Community College Connection Begins September 13th (Attend a class at Brookdale Community College, have lunch in the student cafeteria and then travel for a yoga/nutrition class.) Drop off and pick up is at the Arc Center 1158 Wayside Road, Tinton Falls, NJ An Additional $332.50 is required for the class at Brookdale. Payment options include paying online or mail a check made out to the Arc of Monmouth. Space is limited.
